This month, we thought we’d continue the learning spree and share some of the top podcasts that we think every marketer should listen to (for all you auditory learners out there!).
Podcasts are awesome because, unlike books and online courses, you can listen to them while on the go or doing something else, like driving, running, or doing laundry.
So with the following podcasts, you can get better at marketing while driving, running, doing laundry…How great is that?!
Gary Vaynerchuk is an entrepreneur and founder of VaynerMedia, known for his marketing expertise and business success. His podcast, The GaryVee Audio Experience, is made up of a mix of #AskGaryVee show episodes (his old podcast); keynote speeches on marketing and business; tidbits from his video series; and interviews with celebrities. The podcasts range from under a minute to over two hours (most fall somewhere in between).
Donald Miller is the founder of StoryBrand, a company that helps businesses to refine their messaging strategy. He is also the author of the book, Building a StoryBrand: Clarify Your Message so Customers Will Listen. (In case you’re interested, we published a summary of the key points of that book in this blog post.)
On his podcast, Miller hosts and interviews an array of influential people, like Seth Godin, Michael Hyatt, Daniel Pink and Charles Duhigg, who share their advice on productivity, leadership, branding, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and more.
3. Perpetual Traffic by DigitalMarketer
Want to find out more about ads and paid traffic? This podcast is for you.
DigitalMarketer is a trusted online community and resource for marketers all around the world. On their weekly podcast, hosts Ralph Burns and Molly Pittman tell you how you can grow your business through paid traffic. Interested? Check out some of the most popular episodes from Perpetual Traffic.
Speaking of DigitalMarketer…here’s another great podcast for you that started recently, in June 2018. On this weekly show, the hosts, Garrett Holmes and Jenna Snavely, interview various influential people in the marketing world, who provide their advice on everything from optimizing Facebook ads to finding your true calling.
Want just a quick daily listen? Marketing School is a daily, 10-minute show, where marketing gurus, Neil Patel and Eric Siu, share their two cents on marketing. Each episode answers a different question, like “Why you should change your lead forms to applications” and “Why blogging too often will hurt your rankings.”
Brought to you by NPR, this podcast is one of my personal favorites. The host of the show, Guy Raz, spends each episode interviewing the founder of a successful, innovative company. Previous guests include the founders of Drybar, Wikipedia, Warby Parker and Airbnb.
Even if you don’t want to start your own business, the show has useful insights on product development that should be useful for your marketing strategy.
Each week on Copyblogger FM, the host, Sonia Simone, and a different marketing expert talk content marketing, email marketing, copywriting, conversion optimization, mindset, and more. Some of the latest episodes include: “The Mindset Hack That Frees Your Creativity and Makes You Happier,” “Fix These 7 About Page Mistakes for More Traffic and (Possibly) Better SEO,” and “Are You Making These Social Media Marketing Mistakes?”
This is the podcast for all you eCommerce entrepreneurs and marketers out there. On the show, a diverse melange of entrepreneurs share their advice on how to grow a business. You’ll learn everything from how to outsource content and optimize your social media to patenting a product idea and pitching to a shark. Or, if you’re more interested in building with WordPress, check out this WordPress podcasts list.
Want to find out how to crush it on social media? This podcast should help you do that. Each week, the host, Michael Stelzner, talks with different social media marketing experts about the latest trends and successful strategies that you can employ to grow your social media presence.
So those are some of our favorite podcasts for marketers. Got any to add to the list? Share them with us in the comments below!
